The key to the Orange Juelz is the silky texture created by running oranges through a centrifuge juicer. Plane oj, or even fresh squeezed oj, or even blended frozen oj doesn't match what happens when oranges are juiced in a centrifuge juicer.
1 oz centrifuge juiced oranges
1 oz gin
0.5 oz lime
0.5 oz simple syrup
a Dash of spice bitters or dash of freshly juiced ginger
30 ml centrifuge juiced oranges
30 ml gin
15 ml lime
15 ml simple syrup
a Dash of spice bitters or dash of freshly juiced ginger
Not suited for batch because centrifuge juiced oj started to lose its texture when sitting idle. Therefore oranges should be juiced directly before use.
Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled, and strain into coup or lowball glass. Garnish with orange peel, sip and enjoy!
