The Ginger Mai Tai builds on the orignal mai tai by adding some spicey ginger to balance the sweet almond orgeat evoking the vibrant flavors of Southeast Asia in a single sip.
1 oz rum
1 oz lime juice
0.5 oz ginger liqueur
0.5 oz almond orgeat
Garnish: mint and crystalized ginger
30 ml rum
30 ml lime juice
15 ml ginger liqueur
15 ml almond orgeat
Garnish: mint and crystalized ginger
250 ml rum
250 ml lime juice
125 ml ginger liqueur
125 ml almond orgeat
Garnish: mint and crystalized ginger
Place all liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled, and strain into tiki glass. Garnish, sip and enjoy!
