Essentially the bourbon version of a negroni (though it can be made with Rye), and just as classic! As with a negroni, each ingredient makes a huge difference. I like a bitter Punt e Mes vermouth and a spicy rye like Sazerac Rye for my boulevardier.
1.25 oz bourbon (or rye)
1 oz Campari
1 oz sweet vermouth
Garnish: orange twist
40 ml bourbon (or rye)
30 ml Campari
30 ml sweet vermouth
Garnish: orange twist
400 ml bourbon (or rye)
300 ml Campari
300 ml sweet vermouth
Garnish: orange twist
Place all liquid ingredients in a stir tin with ice. Stir vigorously until chilled. Strain into low ball glass with a fresh ice. Express orane twist over rim, and garnish with twist.

3 dashes bitters

1/3 pt Benedictine liqueur
4 dashes bitters
