My mother in law from Mexico was always quick to grab La Chancla when her children were acting up… or rather are acting up, as even adults can't escape the hard slap from an old leather bound sandel. This cocktail, which merges smokey mezcal from Mexico with sweet cognac from France and dark aromatic bitters from Italy smacks you over the head in only the loving way an abuelita from Mexico can.
