2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz fresh blood orange juice
0.75 basil simple syrup
2 tsp rich olive oil
1 egg white
60 ml gin
30 ml lemon juice
30 ml fresh blood orange juice
20 ml basil simple syrup
10 ml rich olive oil
1 egg white
250 ml gin
125 ml lemon juice
125 ml fresh blood orange juice
75 ml basil simple syrup
25 ml rich olive oil
5-8 shakes of Vegan Cocktail Foamer
When using egg white: Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with no ice. Shake this mixture vigorously for 20-40 shakes (This is called dry shaking). Then, open the shaker, add ice, and shake until chilled. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange slice.
Note: The egg white, lemon juice, and gin all help the olive oil to fully emulsify into the drink; otherwise, you may end up with a layer of olive oil floating on top of the drink. You can use store-bought vegan foamers or skip the dry shake, but make sure to shake vigorously and drink fast! The last part won't be hard though when you try this sip of heaven.
